We were pleased to be commissioned by Death Valley National Park to create a porcelain souvenir mug and collectible porcelain ornament.
Interpreting a Dry Landscape in Porcelain
We wanted to capture the desolation and dry landscape in an image that would be iconic and commemorate anyone's visit to this National Park. And we think this Badwater Salt Flats image does catch the spirit of the place.
The cracks in the 3 dimensional sculpt of the salt flats create a depth and recreate that phenomenon in a functional souvenir that can be taken home and used year after year.
A Favorite Collectible Souvenir Mug
Our porcelain souvenir mugs have a capacity of 20 ounces and are dishwasher and microwave oven safe. We hear many reports from those who use the collectible souvenir mugs that they are in fact their favorite mug due to the unique shape, the porcelain feel, the smooth glaze, the larger handle, and the feature that porcelain is a natural insulating material and does a better than average job of keeping beverages hot or cold as intended.
